Edward was educated at Clifton College Bristol and the University of Leeds. He is Chairman and Chief Executive of Town Centre Securities PLC, a family controlled quoted property investment and development company.
Edward was a Trustee and Chairman of the Leeds Jewish Blind Society and the Leeds Jewish Welfare Board (one of the largest welfare charitable organisations in West Yorkshire) for over 20 years until his retirement in 2016.
Edward was a Governor of the Grammar School at Leeds until his retirement in 2018.
In 2013 he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Business Administration by Leeds Beckett University.
In 2014, Edward was appointed Chair of Leeds Cares which focuses on patient experience within the Leeds NHS Trust and raises money for medical research, innovation and equipment.
In the 2017 Queens Birthday Honours list, Edward was awarded an OBE for his services to the Economy and Community of Leeds.
Edward has been married to Diane for 35 years and has 4 children, 3 of whom are married and has one grandchild. His interests are his family, his work and charitable endeavours. He is a keen golfer, an avid supporter of Leeds United and the arts.
