Balbir has lived in Bradford for over 55 years and works in the property sector presently as the chairman of PEC contracting and shop fitting, which he founded in 1977. The company employs over 100 staff from Leeds Bradford area, including 12 apprentices, Balbir has employed and trained many apprentices in the construction sector. In addition to this he is involved in part ownership and the managing of a property portfolio, consisting of commercial properties and student accommodation.
Balbir has been a Director of Bradford Chamber from 2003 to 2012 and was elected as the President in 2007. In addition Balbir has been on the Boards of various other Bradford organisations and has been totally dedicated to the district`s economic development.
Balbir has helped raise hundreds of thousands pounds for many local Charities and is committed to continue with this. In addition Balbir has taken part in local community and religious organisations.
