Steve is the current Chief Executive Officer of the Community Foundation for Calderdale, an independent grant making charity, and he has worked at the Foundation since January 2000; Steve took over running the Foundation from Chris Harris in April 2004.
Steve plays a full and active part in supporting and representing the voluntary sector in Calderdale as a trustee of Cycling Without Age and the Halifax 900 Trust and a member of the Business for Calderdale Committee. He Chairs the voluntary sector’s Chief Officer Forum and sits on the Leadership Group with Chief Executives from the public and private sectors.
Steve has lived in Calderdale since the mid 1980’s employed at that time as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator and active as a church based voluntary youth and community worker.
Steve is a lifelong Leeds United fan. He is married to Alex, who was born in the Highlands of Scotland, and has two grown up children, Sam and Joel.
