Founder and Chairman of PEC, Balbir Singh Panesar ‘Balbir’ was born on 14th June 1951. In I960, the family moved from Tanzania, and settled in Bradford making it their home for the next 5 decades.
Balbir left school at the age of 16 and trained as an apprentice electrician at Bradford Technical College in September 1967, gaining the vital skills which forged his career. After qualifying as an electrician and 10 years working for Peirson’s, Balbir’s ambition led him to set up his own business as a sole trader, one man band.
His drive and commitment grew his business from a sole operation into the now well regarded and successful shop fitting and construction company known as PEC.
In July 2007 Balbir became President of the Bradford Chamber of Commerce. This achievement was well received by the larger Asian community nationally, where Balbir also enjoys much recognition.
